Background
It is the hopefully not-too-distant future, and North and South Korea have recently reunited into one country again. It is a huge change and period of adjustment for people on both sides of the 38th Parallel. Moranbong Band (sometimes referred to as the North Korean Spice Girls) is an all-female orchestra that was formed in 2012, and hand-picked by Kim Jong-Un himself less than one year into his reign after his father’s sudden death in 2011. In a post-communist world, Moranbong Band would like to continue their music career and make the transition into a Southern style Kpop group. However, they are in need of a brand refresh.
Assignment
Design a rebrand of Moranbong Band with an official album release and package design of their greatest hits from when they were a communist military orchestra.
Objective
Rebrand a Northern, communist girl group into a Southern style group and market them to both North and South Koreans and the greater world of Kpop fans.
